SET TO BLOOM JEWELRY EDITORIAL HARRODS MAGAZINE
Have you picked up your copy of the latest Harrods Magazine yet? It’s Christmas, and that means showtime as the spotlight falls on all things super-glamorous. GEMOLOGUE collaborated with Harrods Magazine on creating a seriously glamorous Set to Bloom Jewelry Editorial!
For one of the Christmas bouquets, I selected jewels by Meira T with a halo of diamonds from the Harrods extensive collection on the Ground floor. Among the pieces I picked were Meira T‘s large Tanzanite earrings. The characteristic blue-lavender color of Tanzanite is a unique one in the world of precious stones. Not only are these gorgeous earrings a perfect gift for Christmas but they are also the birthstone for the month of December! It’s a gemstone that is strongly associated with contentment and understanding. There’s just no Christmas without sapphires and rubies, so I also added a few more Meira T bracelets.
The Meira T white Druzy ring is just so Christmas! It’s look and texture reminds me of snow and goes beautifully with the white outfit I will be celebrating New Years in. I will be seeing the start of 2015 in Brazil, where it’s traditional to dress in white on New Year’s Eve. This is thought to bring good luck and peace for the year that will follow. Then after midnight everyone flocks to the beaches to jump seven waves and throw flowers into the sea while making a wish. What an amazing way to start a new year!
Talented paper artist Lou Blackshaw brought in her equipment to prepare the dramatic compositions. With her skill and artistry, she cut out each individual petal, flower and leaf that were to be enhanced with the jewels.
The Christmas Bouquet especially developed for Meira T jewels is nearly ready and it is time to decorate with jewels, think Christmas tree decoration but this time with tweezers and keeping your breath.
Adding large Tanzanite earrings to the composition created by a paper artist, the artist behind some of the most famous window displays in London.
Lou is incorporating ruby slice bracelet with a halo of diamonds
and we are ready to shoot, still photography at its best.
Final touches to the christmas bouquet composition, symmetry is the key.
