The other night I dreamt I was decorating my Christmas tree in exhuberant jewels rather than the old school and somewhat dull balls! Whilst sipping a cup of steaming green tea the following morning, I thought what’s stopping me doing so in real life?!

Actually, in Russia the tradition is to decorate a “New Year” tree. I was rather excited to embellish the tree with Faberge‘s exquisite sparkling pieces creating a showstopping Christmas centrepiece.

Not many people know this, but the Christmas tree was something of a fashion statement, borrowed from the German tradition and made popular by Queen Victoria and her husband, Prince Albert in 1841. Once the public caught a glimpse of this beautiful evergreen, decorated in silk, lace and feathers, it caught on and became a worldwide sensation.

When you hear the name Fabergé, you think of those priceless Easter Eggs, iconic objets d’art that Peter Carl Fabergé crafted for royalty all around the world. But like all true art, it possesses a timeless beauty. Legendary becomes inspiration for innovative designs that last a lifetime. Today that artistry comes alive in a colourful and enchanting palette of lavish jewels and enamels.

So reminiscent of Fabergé style and inspired by the Diamond Trellis Egg of 1892, this beautiful ring from the Treillage Collection symbolizes power in the vibrant use of gemstones, and eternity in the circular, constant pattern. Exquisite!

What an amazing Christmas gift: Fabergé Treillage Multi coloured Rose Gold Matt Thin Ring is priced at only  £1,335 and the wide ring, £3,260.

The thinner band features round white diamonds, blue and pink sapphires, rubies, tsavorites, opals and amethysts, set in 18 karat matt rose gold.

My favourite is the Palais Tsarskoye Selo Turquoise Charm for £2,665. Palais Tsarskoye Selo Charm features round white diamonds and turquoise guilloché enamel set in 18 karat yellow gold.

So beautifully elegant and feminine, you can see in the inspiration in these rich egg charms. Technical perfection! Miniature masterpieces! Reminds me of St. Petersburg.

The Emotion Collection is by far the boldest and most majestic of all. With its rich use of colour and surprisingly wild pavé work and asymmetrical designs, there’s so much expression in these rings. You can’t help but notice the Fauvist influence in the more colourful pieces. Of course, I chose my favourite in blue sapphire – Fabergé Sapphire Gypsy ring features over 600 gemstones, set in 18 karat white gold, £9,625 as well as Fabergé Ruby Gypsy ring.

I fell in love with this next collection. Its Rococo styling, with its gold scrolls and exquisite enamel, reminded me of Paris. So affordable, the Rococo Collection was inspired by the legendary Rocaille Egg that Fabergé created for the Russian heiress, Varvara Kelkh in 1902.

My favourite piece, the Fabergé Rococo White Enamel Rose Gold Wide Ring for only £1,850. Love the scroll work and the detailing of the 18 karat rose gold with white cold enamel. Like something out of Louis XVI’s palace, yet stylishly modern.

I can just imagine hiding this beautiful ring inside a Christmas cracker. What a surprise that would be!

A more delicate version that I also love is this Fabergé Rococo Pink Enamel Rose Gold Thin Ring for only £1330.  That’s an excellent price for a piece of jewellery of this quality that features round white diamonds and pink cold enamel, set in 18 karat rose gold.

The timeless, elegant design and the sparkle of beautiful diamonds would surely be a hit with your loved one this Christmas. For £2,220, these Fabergé Rococo Pavé Diamond Rose Gold Stud Earrings feature round white diamonds set in 18 karat rose gold.

Inspired by the legendary Fabergé Imperial eggs, I just love how playful these charms are, with their airy design that seems to set them in motion. Said to evoke the rhythms of the Russian seasons, the spiral pattern certainly reminds me of home and the wintry winds at this time of year. My favourite is the spiral blue enamel rose gold charm for £890 with white diamonds and blue cold enamel set in 18 karat rose gold.
