Launched in 2007 by Michela Panero, Italian brand Rosantica is well loved for its Ancient Greek and Roman-inspired jewellery. A beautiful Rosantica necklace was last spotted during Gem Talks interview with Xenia Tchoumitcheva.

This necklace uses a cluster bead look, which has been popular in jewelry for many years, a vibrant alternative to the traditional string of pearls. The hint of gold brings a sense of richness when mixed with the white pearl beads. Although designed as a very long string of different sized beads and gold links, this piece can be doubled up to make a shorter necklace. The design is an obviously flexible one; this necklace can also be worn as a belt and even as a headband for a more unique look.

However, in our opinion, this Rosantica necklace may be a little let down by the workmanship. The links don’t seem to be very strong considering this is a day-to-night transitional piece. In addition, it is easily tangled; untangling it would be a delicate process so as not to damage the necklace.

Otherwise this lovely jewelry piece has great style potential; however, it will need a lot of care if one is going to get a wear out of it. A great piece for one’s jewellery box nevertheless, perfect for special occasions.
