BOUCHERON WITH AL MAHMOOD PEARLS, JEWELLERY ARABIA BAHRAIN 2016

Another day at Jewellery Arabia Bahrain and I’m lucky enough to be spending the day with Al Mahmood Pearls, whose rich family history of pearling goes back 200 years or seven generations. One of the kingpins in the Bahrain pearling industry, the Al Mahmood family started out as buyers and sellers of pearls and became known as one of the finest collectors of rare pearls.

Al Mahmood has a diverse portfolio and works with some major international jewellery brands like, Boucheron. They share a history of working with natural pearls and were instrumental in the Boucheron launch in Bahrain.

During my visit I was wearing pearl gloves to celebrate Al Mahmood Pearls heritage . You can see how it was done on GEMOLOGUE YouTube channel.

So excited to be sharing with you my favourite pieces from the Boucheron collection at Jewellery Arabia Bahrain. Would love to know what Boucheron collection is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.

Boucheron Collection Of Animals. This jewellery collection is rich with creativity and simply pulsates with emotion. Animals transformed into jewels to wear as protective, precious companions.

Boucheron Ajourée Hopi Watch in pink and white gold set with diamonds and multicolored sapphires. A beautiful symbol of love and joy, the lively hummingbird Hopi spreads his message with colour and agility.

Boucheron Nuri, The Cockatoo Ring set with pavé tsavorites and orange, pink, yellow round sapphires, and diamonds. Nuri the cockatoo is a playful and faithful companion with a magnificent plumage that symbolizes the elements of life, such as the sun, water and fire. A natural messenger of beauty and life for the woman who wears it.

Boucheron Quatre collection. The Quatre Radiant Edition is a beautiful line of jewellery inspired by Frédéric Boucheron himself and his sunny 1893 Mansion at  26 place Vendôme. He loved it for its exceptional amount of sunlight.

Boucheron Quatre Clou De Paris Bangle Bracelet in pink gold. The Clou de Paris traces the cobblestones of the Place Vendôme, bringing us back to the beautiful City of Light where Boucheron lived, and reminding me of my many trips to that same, beautiful place.

Boucheron  Quatre Radiant Edition  in pink gold with 25 round diamonds. Truly sculptural in design, this beautiful ring plays magic with the light and is a celebration of pure gold. Graphic and flamboyant, there’s a sense of independence and style when you wear these rings.

Boucheron Quatre Radiant Edition Cuff Bracelet set with pavé brown diamonds in pink gold. A surprisingly modern interpretation of this motif, it’s sculptural yet princely in design. The openwork structure, pavé diamonds and graphic elements allow the light to reflect and move through the cuff for extra sparkle.

Boucheron Serpent Bohème Collection. One of the most iconic motifs of the house of Boucheron is probably the serpent. As a protective spirit and the symbol of eternity, it’s a thrill to wear. I love how delicately sculpted and polished gold brings out the the brilliance of diamonds.

Boucheron Serpent Bohème Toi Et Moi Ring set in pink gold with diamonds. As a celebration of love, this ring evokes the passion Frédéric Boucheron felt for his wife Gabrielle and reminds me of the serpent necklace he gave her in 1888. Textured gold and beading adds another level of detail to these drop motif rings. The Toi et Moi style brings the serpent heads together in caress and eternal love.

Boucheron Serpent Bohème Necklace set with pavé diamonds in yellow gold. Repeated here in the necklace, you’ll find elegant gold beads worked with finesse to ignite the diamonds and fuse with the honeycomb openwork of the exquisite chain. It a beautiful reincarnation of the Maison’s classic styling with a timeless reminder of Boucheron elegance.

Boucheron Serpent Bohème Wedding Band in pink gold. Here twisted gold invokes the protective spirit of the serpent once again. I mentioned before the serpent necklace Frédéric Boucheron gifted his wife as a symbol of his undying love. But it was also a talisman to protect her while he was away, and a promise of a long and happy life together.  The Serpent Bohème wedding band celebrates that promise and is a beautiful gift for the one you love.
