ARTELIER BY CRISTINA RAMELLA WORLD CUFF REVIEW
I live by my personal motto, Tomorrow is Another Country, hence as soon as I laid my eyes on a World Cuff By Artelier by Cristina Ramella in rhodium-plated sterling silver, my heart flipped with excitement. Having lived in four countries already – Russia, US, Austria and UK – I consider myself a world citizen, and this cuff perfectly reflects my international identity and insatiable wanderlust.Design Value for money Showstopper Durability Craftsmanship Investment Packaging GEMOLOGUE SCORE
A cuff is the perfect piece of jewellery if you are after a bracelet that you want to wear day and night; an accessory that is sturdy, yet feminine. Cuffs are jewels made to last: they will neither break, nor will they get lost. Artelier’s cuff is an example of great craftsmanship and will last a lifetime.
I absolutely love the simple design of the World Cuff: the outline of the world intricately cut out from a curved sheet of metal. The world map design on a solid cuff feels liberating: a great many of us are perpetual travellers, always on-the-go, and our jewellery needs to reflect that. Hans Christian Andersen once famously said: “To travel is to Live”, and his words embody so much of what I believe in. Travel enriches us, makes us strong and independent, teaches us the beauty of the world. And this Artelier World Cuff perfectly captures those ideas: wearing this bracelet, you literally have the world in your hands.
Artelier by Cristina Ramella is a design studio that celebrates the wonderful beauty of travel, as well as the fusion between the designers’ two location on either side of the globe: Mexico and Italy. Christina Ramella, born and raised in Italy, has lived in multiple cities throughout her life, and is herself a passionate traveller.
Regardless of the fact that Artelier By Cristina Ramella is a Mexico-based jewellery designer, the World Cuff was delivered to me in London with no hassle. Hence, the world map design captures the power of globalisation and our seemingly borderless planet: nowadays you do not necessarily need to buy the next addition to jewellery box from a boutique next door – you can easily get your perfect piece from as far as Central and South America.
Artlier World Cuff is the ideal piece of jewellery for you, if you are consumed by wanderlust. Or perhaps, you are an aspiring global nomad, who needs a reminder that the world is at your feet.
