Silvana e Cia is my favourite restaurant in Trancoso because of its sensational local food. This wonderful restaurant occupies one of the former fisherman’s houses hidden under the decorated arms of an ancient tree and overlooking the charming Quadrado square. Start with the mouthwatering casquinha de siri, shelled crab, followed by the traditional Bahia dish, moqueca made from coconut dendê oil. Quench your thirst with Silvana’s delicious signature caipirinha made with mango and passionfruit. I cannot wait to go back there on my next visit to Brazil!
