SILVIA FURMANOVICH BOTANICA FINE JEWELLERY COLLECTION LAUNCH, SAO PAULO

Such an honour to be co-hosting with the talented Silvia Furmanovich at the launch of her new jewellery collection, Botanica, at the modern and dreamy setting of the Casa Jereissati in Sao Paulo. The Casa, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, natural light and spectacular garden views, sets the perfect scene to showcase a jewellery collection inspired by the wonder and beauty of nature. As light fills the space from all sides, your eyes fall on an exotic floral centrepiece by a florist Vic Meirelles displaying the lush Botanica collection in all its glory.  Such attention to detail can only be expected from a designer like Silvia.

The whole experience took me on a journey I’ll never forget. And on top of it all, I’m so happy to be the face for the Botanica fine jewellery collection by Silvia Furmanovich. By wearing her jewellery I can feel Silvia’s connection to nature, her admiration and commitment to capturing its beauty through true craftsmanship and the enduring art of marquetry. We  shot the worldwide campaign at Jardim Botanico in Sao Paulo a few days earlier. Head over to my Instagram page and check out Stories in Gold Circles under my profile.

You must be familiar with Silvia Furmanovich by now as I have blogged about her beautiful jewellery before. When I first set eyes on Furmanovich’s initial marquetry collection in London, I was delighted by her 3D marquetry technique, something I’ve never seen before in jewellery. What a creative pairing of wood tones with gems and gold! Silvia’s latest collection, Botanica, brings to life the rarest flowers of Brazil. Such innovative floral designs and sculptural art – they will cialis online fill you with wonder.

It was a busy morning, starting with a press breakfast to present the Botanica collection to journalists and jewellery editors, followed by a client presentation. There was so excitement and energy in the air as everyone in the room couldn’t wait to try on the wonderful masterpieces. The clients just couldn’t get enough and it was truly enjoyable showing the pieces and chatting to journalists and guests.

Over the years I have come across thousands of jewellery collections and thanks to my visual memory and access to so many jewellery designers, I am fortunate to know when I see something original from the look, feel and craftsmanship. Silvia Furmanovich jewellery designs definitely stand out in comparison to other Brazilian jewellery brands. A jewel must be meaningful. It can be a manifestation of artistic style or a deeply personal expression of feelings or identity, but it must be unique just like Silvia Furmanovich jewellery.
