PARKHOUSE ENGAGEMENT RING REVIEW
Getting into the whole matrimonial spirit, I arranged a private session with the famed henna artist, Pavan, at Selfridges in London.
Pavan is an extraordinary henna artist, known for breaking the Guinness World Record for being the fastest in the world. Brides flock to Pavan for one of her stunning bridal designs, and I knew white henna would complete the nuptial scene for this beautiful Parkhouse engagement ring perfectly.

WHAT KIND OF CRAFTSMANSHIP GOES INTO THIS PARKHOUSE ENGAGEMENT RING?
Often called ‘navette’ for its little boat shape, this marquise, brilliant cut, D colour, VS2, 1.54 carat diamond symbolizes the boat of love. From the Parkhouse Iconic Collection, this beautiful platinum engagement ring looks magnificent on the finger, complementing it by giving the illusion of length and slenderness. The marquise cut can often appear larger and is a beautiful choice for a modern engagement ring – a real attention-getter.
Angels are like diamonds. They can’t be made, you have to find them. Each one is unique. Jaclyn Smith
WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND THIS PARKHOUSE ENGAGEMENT RING?
A lot of thought goes into choosing the right cut for an engagement ring, and the story behind the marquise cut diamond is a romantic one. A beautiful love story, dating back to 1745, between King Louis XV and his bride-to-be, he wanted a diamond to mirror the magnificent smile of his soon-to-be wife, Marchioness Madame de Pompadour.
Imagine the smile on your loved-one’s face when you retell that story and present her with this stunningly modern masterpiece. The way the two rings fit together captures the union of marriage and the beauty of love.
HOW UNIQUE IS THIS PARKHOUSE ENGAGEMENT RING?
Classic and unusual is perhaps the best way to describe this ring. Its beautiful marquise cut diamond is not often set sideways like this one. The way the wedding band fuses with the engagement ring is symbolic and makes an elegant and subtle statement.
